Adult Tap Classes Info & FAQ

Discover the joys and benefits of tap-dancing with Miss Caroline Tap Dance - it's great for fitness, fun and mental health!

Adult classes run for one hour. They start with a warm-up, then it's time to concentrate on technique. After that, you'll learn a fun routine (a new one each term) followed by a cool down and stretch.  All classes emphasise making dance fun whilst still teaching quality tap-technique!!

Generally speaking, casual classes are $25. and term fees are slightly cheaper at $20 per class paid upfront. All students must pay an insurance levy of $10 per year.

What to wear/bring?
Tap shoes not necessary to start but try to wear non-grip shoes (runners are no good, try leather soles.) There are a few pairs of tapshoes available for borrowing in a limited size range. Wear loose comfortable clothing and prepare to sweat (and to have FUN!) We recommend you bring a water-bottle, you will need it!

Where?

Classes are held in the Back Hall at 220 High Street PRESTON (enter at the side)

Public transport access is a 5 minute walk from Bell Train Station, or 6 minute walk from Tram Route 86 (Stop #45 at Bell/Plenty) .You could also use Bus Routes 552, 903 orc513

How do I start?

Fill out an obligation-free Enrolment Form. Use this one if you have Previous Tap Experience and this one if you are an Absolute Beginner. Call the Tap-phone 0439 445 280 or email Miss Caroline for more information.

When Can I Start?

Our tap classes run in tandem with the school term each year. You can join at the start of any term but new students are not accepted after Week 3.  Keep an eye out for school holiday classes, as these are 'drop-in' sessions and a great introduction to our school.

Casual Bookings?

You can pay casually if you prefer but it's more expensive - $25 per class. Payment can be made via cash or direct debit. Always contact Miss Caroline before turning up for your first class, either by email or sms .
